The campaign website, www.trafficsafety.org, has lots of materials to help plan and promote your campaign, as well as presentations, fact sheets, posters, tent cards and more to address seat belt use, distracted driving and other
safe-driving topics. Although the campaign takes place October 6-10 this year, the materials are not dated and can be used anytime to promote safe driving practices. The site also has a good collection of safe driving resources on business and personal topics.
If your safety programs don't currently integrate safe driving policies, procedures, communication tools and/or practices for all employees, DSWW is a great time to introduce these concepts. If you already have programs in place, it's an opportunity to repeat, reinforce and maybe even rethink your safety communications as they relate to driving.
This year marks the 18th year of the DSWW campaign, which is sponsored by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS.)
